Drill support in North Sea

What we delivered

The HD series of work-class Schilling ROVs are noted for their suitability for IRM applications in harsh water environments.

With a unique modular design and control system technology to minimise downtime and maximise the safety of operations, the Schilling HD70 was specified by ROVOP onboard a MODU to conduct a variety of drilling-related support tasks. These were carried out over 70 days at a depth of over 120 MSW.

ROVOP carried out a range of work – from surveys to inspection and metrology, as well as water jetting and cutting – with all debris removed in line with local regulations. BOP operations were also completed, including valve and hot stab work.

An OceanSENSE leak detection sensor suite was also deployed for use during cementing procedures, highlighting the versatility of the solution created for the client.

The client was delighted with the solution, which assisted in completing the project on time and within budget.
