ROVOP is highly experienced in the provision of visual inspection and observation services.

With a client requiring a robust yet cost-effective solution to their inspection requirements, ROVOP provided a VideoRay and Falcon ROV system, as well as supporting crew and ancillary equipment. The complete package was mobilised on-board a mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) in the North Sea.

ROVOP’s specialist team carried out visual inspections of the jack-up rig’s spud cans in order to ensure their stability and integrity during operations. Observation and further detailed inspections took place as drilling equipment was lowered through platform guides in order to set the caissons.

This scope was completed to the client’s satisfaction and well within the timeframe assigned to the project.
